• Joanne was a lovely person and I’m so saddened to hear of her death. We meet many years ago when she was a student teacher at Kelvin High. We would happily run into each other over the years and catch up on our lives. She had such a warm personality that it was easy to connect to her. • I met her back in grade 7 when I went to elmwood. She was one of the only teachers there who believed in me, she helped me with my passion for sewing. She let me take home fabrics and threads from school to work on personal projects. Truly I will miss her, I loved her as a second mother. I wish I could say that to her now, but she is in a better place, one day our paths shall cross again. My condolences to her family and everyone who had the wonderful chance of meeting her. • I first met Joanne in the classes I taught in the Faculty of Human Ecology at the U of M, as she was working towards her degree. She was a bright kind, hard-working and positive attitude student. Over the years, our paths crossed at seminars and workshops. She was a delightful person, and it was a privilege to know her. Sincere sympathies to all those she loved.
